FAQ's

Q: Where do I find one of those address signs?

A: You can call the McMinnville Fire Department at 503-435-5800 or you can stop by our firehouse at 175 East First Street during the week days between 9 am and 5 pm.

Q: How can I get/trade fire department patches?

A:We regret that currently we are unable to fulfill any requests for patches. Budgetary concerns make sending out patches an impossibility at the present time. We hope to be able to fulfill these requests in the future.

Q: How much time does it take to be a volunteer

A: It varies from week to week, but on the average you’ll put in seven or eight hours. Many volunteers enjoy putting in more.

Q: What will my training cost?

A: It will cost you nothing. Thousands of dollars of valuable career training will be made available to you free of charge.

Q: Will I have any out-of-pocket costs?

A: No. Your equipment will be provided for.

Q: How do I get started?

A: Call us at 503-435-5800, or visit us at 175 East 1st Street, McMinnville, Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.
